LIONESSES CAN ROAR AGAIN

THE memories of Euro 2022 will last a lifetime.

That wonderful day at Wembley, Chloe Kelly's winner and celebration being the crowning glory of a tournament which was a game-changer for women's football. Sarina Wiegman's Lionesses wrote their names into the history books by becoming the first senior England team to win a major tournament since the 1966 World Cup.

What an achievement. But it was also about legacy and it made the likes of Kelly, Leah Williamson and Jill Scott household names.

They have helped make everything which has followed possible. Sell-out crowds in the WSL, playing games in the main stadiums and, arguably, even Arsenal winning the Champions League.
