Teacher thrown back behind bars over school trespassing

Judge has had Enoch of 'flagrant breaches'

PREMISES Burke at Wilson's Hospital School in Westmeath

A JUDGE has thrown notorious teacher Enoch Burke back behind bars and accused him of threatening the system of law and order by refusing to obey court orders.

Gardai were given the green light to rearrest him on the spot and take him straight back to jail where he has already served 500 days.

Mr Justice Brian Cregan delivered a scathing judgment on the behaviour of Burke and other members of his family, who now also face criminal contempt proceedings.

He quoted the Bible at the fundame natlism Christian clan, advising: "Do onto others as you would have them do onto you."

None of the Burke family were present in court yesterday for the latest damning judgment in relation to the teacher's continuing contempt of orders not to trespass on Wilson's Hospital School in Westmeath.

The judge said it serves no useful purpose to impose further fines on Burke because he had continued to breach the court orders and has not voluntarily "paid a euro" towards the fines.

It was also clear the appointment of security guards had failed to deter him from entering the school premises and he is confronting the guards on a daily basis, he said.
