Misfiring Kop star vows to find his goalden touch

- PAUL GORST

ALEXANDER ISAK has vowed to “fight” his way back to the form that made him a £125m Liverpool striker at the start of September.

And the most expensive footballer in British history has denied he is currently enduring the toughest spell of his career.

Isak moved to Merseyside after a summer-long saga that saw him stay off Newcastle's preseason tour of the Far East before he trained alone, using the facilities of former club Real Sociedad, without the permission of Toon manager Eddie Howe.

The No.9 played no part in Newcastle's preseason programme as a result of the acrimonious departure from the North East. That meant he wasn't up to 100 per cent when he completed his mega-money move to Anfield on deadline day.
