All Black superstar excited to test his talents in Ireland with Leinster
LEINSTER have signed All Black superstar centre Rieko Ioane for next season.
The controversial Ioane had an infamous spat with Johnny Sexton after the final whistle of the 2023 World Cup quarter-final clash in Paris.
Ioane told Sexton to enjoy retirement and to not miss his flight home, sparking an angry reaction from the Ireland captain.
Moreover, Ioane was chosen to lead the haka in Dublin in the next meeting between the sides.
Ioane revealed the move on social media, posting: "I'll be heading to Leinster at the end of the year on a sabbatical break.
"It's an exciting opportunity to play in Ireland for an iconic team, grow my game and experience something different with my family. Will be back refreshed and ready to rock second half of 2026.
