MATEUS FERNANDES insists West Ham's players won't give up on their battle to beat the drop.

A Morgan Gibbs-White penalty a minute from time on Tuesday night handed Nottingham Forest a 2-1 win and dealt a devastating blow to the Hammers hopes of survival.

Victory in the crucial six-pointer saw Nuno Espirito Santos side slip to seven points behind Forest, the team immediately above the relegation line.
