Status Yellow warning issued for 4 counties but worst to miss Ireland

CHILLY Freezing weather hit Ireland already this week

MET Eireann has issued a Status Yellow weather warning for four counties ahead of Storm Goretti sweeping ashore in Ireland.

The alert for snow and rain will come into effect for Cork, Kerry, Waterford, and Wexford at midday today and will remain in place until 8pm.

Met Eireann warned Storm Goretti will bring rain, heavy at times, and turn to sleet and snow in places this afternoon, particularly at elevation, with accumulations possible.
