'Cops must examine missing James' boat'

THE family of an Irish sailor believe the probe into his disappearance "has stalled" and urged Spanish cops to carry out a forensic exam of his boat.

James "Jemsie" Nunan, who was from Colchester in the UK but carried an Irish passport, was last seen on CCTV on August 18 in a kebab shop in Gran Canaria.

The 34-year-old was five months into a round-the-world adventure with his dog Thumbelina when he vanished.

His vessel, Kehaar, was found adrift 80km off the south coast of Gran Canaria and about 160km from Las Palmas on August 25, before it was towed to Arguineguin port.

Thumbelina was found on board, but there was no sign of James.
