Rogers shows he still has golden Tuch but Gunners midfielder bizarrely bags man of the match award

- BY ANDY DUNN

FOR some reason, television companies persist in asking their 'experts' to hand out a man of the match accolade before the final whistle.

And so, TNT Sports pundit Martin Keown judged Martin Odegaard to be the game's outstanding player a few minutes before Emi Buendia condemned Arsenal to only their second Premier League defeat of the season.

Even if there had been no late winner in front of a delirious Holte End, Keown's choice would have been contentious, to say the least.

There were plenty of accomplished performances in a very entertaining contest, but Odegaard's was not particularly outstanding.

If pushed, you would probably have highlighted Morgan Rogers' contribution as the most compelling.

It was a display that made you realise why Thomas Tuchel (inset) is such an admirer.

The idea that Jude Bellingham should start for England ahead of Rogers should not be as popular amongst pundits as it appears to be.

After a slow start, Rogers is arguably playing as well as any attacking midfielder in the country.
