JEROME ABBEY was on the Wolves bench - after being plucked straight out of school.

Wolves may be relegation certainties but there are some hopes for the future.

Mateus Mane, 18, once again starred for Wanderers, and was unfortunate to see an early goal disallowed for offside.

And for Year 11 pupil Abbey, 16, he was in a maths lesson on Friday when the call came.

Wolves head coach Rob Edwards (left) said: “Jerome came in to train on Friday. The headmaster had to go and get him! We all dream of moments like that as youngsters. He's a really exciting young player who we have high hopes for.
