SHE FEARED FOR HER SAFETY

- By MARK NAYLOR

A MENACING bully made his ex-girlfriend's life a misery during a nasty "reign of terror" by bombarding her with abusive insults and intimidation that left her a "shell of a person" and feeling that she had been "held emotionally hostage".

Aggressive and threatening Lewis Green endlessly stalked the woman and she "lived in a constant state of anxiety" and genuinely feared for her safety.

She suffered "persistent emotional and psychological abuse" from him and she was left shaken to her core and forced to "pick up the pieces" later, Hull Crown Court heard.

Green, 33, of Darwin Road, Bridlington, but recently in custody on remand, admitted breaching a restraining order between December 20, 2024 and September 9, 2025 and stalking the woman between February 1 and September 7, 2025.

Stephen Welch, prosecuting, said that Green and the woman were previously in a relationship and they had a two-year-old child together but they later separated for 18 months.

A non-molestation order was made but Green breached it and a restraining order was made at Hull Magistrates' Court on July 15, 2024.

Just before Christmas of that year, Green started contacting the woman directly by messages, in breach of the restraining order.
