Salford set for week of big announcements

Salford RLFC are set for a big week of announcements, with the phoenix club set to kick off the Championship campaign in just two weeks' time against Oldham.

Former Hull KR star Ryan Brierley has called time on his career to take on the role as new CEO, joining ex-Toronto Wolfpack teammate Mason Caton-Brown, who spearheaded the winning bid for Salford and winning RFL membership for the 2026 season.

Here's what we know about the new club so far.

Reports have emerged that Mike Grady is the new head coach of Salford RLFC, having previously led Salford Red Devils' women's team.

In the men's game, Grady has previously worked at South Wales Scorpions, Newcastle Thunder, North Wales Crusaders, Rochdale Hornets and Widnes Vikings.

He also worked on the coaching staff of Spain's national team.

Jack Walker is set to continue his playing career away from Salford. The former Leeds Rhinos and Hull FC fullback made the late switch to the Red Devils in 2025, aiming to reignite his Super League career.
