COACH ON KR'S STUNNING WORLD CLUB CHALLENGE WIN
KR's Willie Peters
WILLIE Peters broke with his usual protocol by telling his Hull KR players at halftime in their World Club Challenge that he was proud of them.
Peters was blown away by his Rovers side as they dominated the first half at the MKM Stadium, suffocating the NRL's best attack while scoring three tries themselves to lead 18-4.
That lead became 30-4 as the Super League Grand final winners made their NRL counterparts look very ordinary, before the Aussie comeback kings did what they do best. Thankfully for Rovers they held on to claim the title of world champions, becoming the first KR side to ever have the honour.
