COME AND DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY AT BEVERLEY RUGBY CLUB

- By TED O'NEILL

Just dip in for a taste of salsa!

BEVERLEY Rugby Club in Beaver Park is a location with a distinctively masculine atmosphere, where hard sport is played and no mercy is shown.

It might surprise people then, that every Tuesday night at Beverley RUFC, the bar upstairs takes on a much more romantic tone, where dancing is the order of the day, and the ladies rule the roost.

In early July, two clandestine members of staff from the Hull Daily Mail infiltrated Club Salsa Hull, with our four left feet and tried to have a dance.

The organisers were very friendly and the prices were on par with other dancing communities across the UK.

In partner dancing, every couple is divided into a 'lead' and a 'follow' where hysterically, the men who always have two left feet are supposed to lead, and the women who are always better dancers usually follow.

This historical injustice always has disastrous consequences on the dancefloor - but make no mistake, the ladies are in charge.
