LEWIS IS DELIGHTED TO BE BACK IN ROBINS' LINE-UP

- By DAVID CRAVEN

Fired-up Mikey Lewis can’t wait to return Hull KR to winning ways after his enforced absence.

The reigning Man of Steel is back in action for the Super League leaders tonight.

He missed last Saturday's 28-10 loss at Leigh due to a head knock suffered in the first half of the previous week's 14-8 defeat to Leeds. Scrumhalf Lewis actually passed his HIA after being copped high by England teammate Harry Newman.

But laying motionless on the ground for a brief period after the tackle meant he showed Category One symptoms and was automatically stood down for 11 days under RFL protocols.

Challenge Cup victors Rovers had only lost once all season prior to that game against Rhinos but visit Catalans this evening now bidding to stave off a third successive defeat.

The return of the England international, however, will no doubt bolster their chances of getting back on track. And Lewis, whose 15 Super League tries so far see him trail only Wigan’s Jai Field at the top of the charts, admitted: “I can’t wait to get back out there.

“Going over to France, it's always something I look forward to on the calendar. It's a challenge but it's one I like. We've lost our last two games and we want to get back to what we were doing before that.
