Deceptive claims over CO2 done for financial or political gain

ALL political parties want to influence our opinion and they do this by telling the truth, half-truths or by using deception.

One dangerous deception repeated many times is that extra carbon dioxide (CO2) produced by burning fossil fuels benefits plants.

There is a grain of truth to this statement. Yes, plants do need CO2 to grow, and some greenhouse farmers will pump in extra CO2 to increase yields.

However, the overall result of increasing CO2 is damaging to both the planet and plants. It is now beyond doubt that excess CO2 results in hotter global temperatures which in turn produces extreme weather in the form of droughts (not great for plants) and at different times more rain (equally bad).
