Dad hires out entire cinema screening for 97 family and friends to watch his son's film

THE dad of a Hull actor who stars in the recently-released film I Swear booked an entire screening for family, friends and special guests to watch it together. Mike Aramayo’s son Robert Aramayo plays the lead role in I Swear.

Mike has now watched the film five times with his wife, Joanne Aramayo. He said theatres have been “packed” and the film has been doing incredibly well. He booked the screening at Reel cinema on Friday, October 10, as a “celebration of Rob's rise to stardom”.

Robert Aramayo started out at Hull Truck Youth Theatre, before going to drama school at Juilliard in New York and landing roles in Game of Thrones and Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power.

His performance as Tourette's campaigner John Davidson MBE in the biopic has earned widespread acclaim from critics.
