Clements' strikes extends Ferriby's unbeaten run

NORTH Ferriby fired in a late goal to see their unbeaten league streak extend to nine games with a 1-1 draw at Woodhorn Lane against Ashington AFC.

Charlie Clements' well taken goal secured a point after a potentially game-altering moment early in the second half.

The opening moments saw the Villagers look to take an early advantage as Myron Gibbons twice imposed himself inside the final third, the Ashington defence doing well to see off the winger.

Approaching 20 minutes and Ferriby saw the best opportunity of contest yet.

Out on the left flank, Jack Walters' delivery into the box found Lewis Dennison who perhaps should have done better than his offtarget header.
