Acknowledging full extent of Brexit damage

I APPRECIATE that for someone like Peter Auty (Mail Box, October 29), who clearly wants to defend Brexit, the reality of what's happening must be difficult and frustrating.

But that's still no excuse to blame Brexit's opponents - what he calls “the Remain fraternity” - for its failure. We're hardly the source of “untold anxiety” and the loss of inward investment. That's a consequence of Brexit itself.

Mr Auty might be better advised to direct his anger at the onetime champions of our departure from the European Union. They're no longer providing him with ammunition.
