40 further closures planned for A63 work

"STRONG progress" is being made on the A63 Castle Street scheme with more than 40 further overnight closures set to take place before Christmas as work continues.

The £355m project, which began more than five-and-a-half years ago, is estimated to be completed in spring 2026.

Meanwhile, a weekend closure of the westbound carriageway between Roger Millward Way and Daltry Street that was planned for October 25 and 26, has been postponed due to an upcoming Tigers fixture.

A National Highways spokesperson said: "We've decided to implement this at a later date due to other works taking place in Hull city centre, as well as the Hull City v Charlton Athletic fixture on October 25."
