£3.25million boost for town centre's heritage

ANGLESEY’S largest town is set to benefit from a £3.25 million heritage funding boost.

Work is under way to renovate a number of prominent historic buildings along its main shopping street.

As part of the Holyhead Townscape Heritage Initiative, funded by UK Government and the National Lottery Heritage Fund through the Anglesey council, six shopfronts including a well-known local pub will be restored to their original authentic appearance.

The initiative is designed to improve the town centre, attract more visitors, and encourage further private investment in the area.
