Shaunak calls accidental tumour discovery a blessing in disguise'

Award-winning filmmaker Shaunak Sen had a health scare a few months ago when a malignant tumour was detected in his kidney. However, on Sunday evening, Sen announced that he is now cancer-free.

The filmmaker, whose documentary All That Breathes (2023) was nominated at the 95th Oscars, wrote on Instagram, "Bit of an absurd update. October end, during a checkup for an autoimmune thing I got a shock diagnosis: a routine scan revealed a small malignant tumour in the kidney."
