Puri Slams AAP, Calls Them 'Factory of Liars'
Hindustan Times
|January 13, 2025
Union petroleum minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Sunday accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi of failing to deliver on key promises made during the lead up to the previous state assembly elections in 2020, referring to the party as a "factory of liars".
-
Delhi is set to go to polls on February 5, with the results to be declared on February 8.
Puri also spoke on what he alleged was the AAP's "poor record" on infrastructure, and said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Centre has facilitated growth in the city.
The AAP hit back, alleging that the BJP-led Central government has only increased corruption, inflation, and black money.
Speaking at a press conference, Puri claimed that the AAP "diverts attention" whenever they are questioned about the status of welfare promises made during the 2020 elections.
