Man kills partner with pressure cooker, held

A 27-year-old sales executive in Bengaluru allegedly bludgeoned his 24-year-old partner to death with a pressure cooker after suspecting her of infidelity, police said on Monday, adding that the two people were living together for the past two years

The police identified the accused as Vaishnav, an engineering graduate who moved to Bengaluru from Kollam in Kerala. He met his partner S Devi, who also hailed from Kollam and worked as a marketing executive at the same firm as him, three years ago and started living together in an apartment in south Bengaluru's Mico Layout, police added.

Deputy commissioner of police CK Baba said the alleged murder was reported on Sunday evening, and added that Vaishnav had grown increasingly suspicious of his partner and was agitated by a phone call on her number on Saturday afternoon.

"Vaishnav had some doubts about the deceased, and they fought over it. On Sunday, this happened again, and he hit the woman with a cooker," Baba said.
