Anger, disbelief as Heathrow offline

Passengers in London scrambled to find alternative flights to destinations ranging from Pakistan to Athens after a massive power outage disrupted hundreds of journeys in and out of Heathrow Airport, on Friday.
The chaos unfolded as Europe's busiest airport remained shut for the entire day following an overnight fire at an electricity substation, which caused a complete power failure at the international travel hub.
At Gatwick Airport, south of London, Talia Fokaides struggled to hold back tears as she recounted her ordeal.
Her voice trembled with emotion as she explained that she had been scheduled to fly to Athens early in the morning to be by her mother's side ahead of a critical open-heart surgery.
The unexpected travel disruption left her feeling anxious and helpless, unsure of when she would be able to reach her destination in time for the life-saving procedure.
When she heard Heathrow was closed, she rushed to Gatwick, the UK's second busiest airport, and found a flight to Athens for midday (1200 GMT).
"I don't care about the money I just need to be in a flight and home by the end of the day," Fokaides told AFP.
