Akhilesh joins Kejriwal at event on women's security

NEW DELHI: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday organised "Mahila Adalat" at Thyagaraj Stadium, Lodhi Colony, to mark 12 years since the tragic rape and death of a 22-year-old paramedical student in Delhi sent shockwaves across the country.
AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi chief minister Atishi, and Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav hosted the gathering, where women from the city shared personal accounts of harassment in the city.
ITAL the incident... and crimes against women have only increased exponentially. I believe there isn't a single woman who hasn't faced some form of harassment. Every woman has endured humiliation... for the central government and Amit Shah women's safety is not a priority," Kejriwal said.
He cited government data indicating daily occurrences of three to four rapes, 17 kidnappings of children, and 10 abductions of women in Delhi.
