The unannounced showers on Friday caused water logging in some areas of the Capital, which is a rare phenomenon to be seen during this season.

The rain in the morning caught the residents by surprise, hampering their schedules and leading to brief snarls.

According to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), water logging was seen in parts of Rohini, Narela, Mundka, Dwarka, Najafgarh, Dilshad Garden, East of Kailash, East Vinod Nagar, and Nizamuddin. Public Works Department (PWD) officials said that pumps were used to drain out water from most areas.
