Two students preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for admission to undergraduate engineering course were found dead in separate incidents in Rajasthan's Kota district, police said on Wednesday, suspecting both to be cases of suicide.
The first incident took place on Tuesday at a hostel accommodation in Rajeev Gandhi Nagar area of Kota, where a 19-year-old student, who hailed from Haryana, arrived two years ago to prepare for JEE, police said. "He was found dead inside his hostel room. When he did not respond to several knocks on his room's door by the hostel owner, the hostel staff broke open the door and recovered the body," additional superintendent of police (ASP) Dileep Saini said, adding no suicide note has been recovered from the hostel.
