The Odisha assembly descended into chaos on Tuesday when members of the ruling BJP and the opposition engaged in a scuffle in the well of the House, leading to the adjournment of proceedings several times.

During Question Hour, tensions erupted in the House when opposition BJD and Congress MLAs began protesting over an alleged rise in crimes against women and controversial statements made by BJP legislator Jayanarayan Mishra over the Koshala region's merger with Odisha.
