Sarna Sthal protests reach Linda's house

Hundreds of members of the Scheduled Tribe (ST) community protested near the residence of ST/SC/OBC welfare minister Chamra Linda in Doriyatoli village on the outskirts of the state capital, pressing for their demand to remove the ramp of an under-construction flyover outside the Siramtoli Sarna Sthal in Ranchi.

Siramtoli Sarna Sthal is one of the most revered places of the tribal community, where processions from across the state capital converge on Sarhul—the biggest annual festival of the community. The community is enraged over the construction of the ramp, which is allegedly obstructing the entrance of the Sarna Sthal by reducing the width of the road.
