Born on September 8, 1999 in Punjab's Fazilka, Shubman's prowess first shone during the 2018 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. As vice-captain, he amassed 372 runs, becoming Player of the Tournament. He made his ODI debut for India in January 2019 and his Test debut a year later.
