Coincidence or experiment? JMM questions timing of Pahalgam attack

The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) on Thursday questioned the 'timing' of the Pahalgam attack, even as the lead party of the ruling INDIA bloc in the state expressed solidarity with the central government with whatever decision the latter takes to protect the sovereignty of the country.

RANCHI: The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) on Thursday questioned the 'timing' of the Pahalgam attack, even as the lead party of the ruling INDIA bloc in the state expressed solidarity with the central government with whatever decision the latter takes to protect the sovereignty of the country.

Addressing a press conference, JMM general secretary and spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya said it was needed to decode whether such terror activities were coincidence or experiment, adding that the incident was an attempt to destabilise the prevailing peace in Jammu & Kashmir.

"How should we treat such incidents? Are they sanyog (coincidence) or a prayog (experiment)? Why do such incidents happen when the country is debating any sensitive issue and when any foreign dignitary is touring the country? The same happened during Pulwama attack. Of all the buses in the convoy, the bus which was not bullet proof was targeted by RDX laden jeep. Then a local traitor was identified in a DySP, but he later vanished in thin air," said Bhattacharya.
