DHANBAD: With Bokaro's long-awaited civilian airport project gaining momentum, deputy commissioner Ajay Nath Jha on Tuesday visited the airport site for an on-ground review and chaired a high-level meeting to assess the progress of pending works. Officials from the Airports Authority of India (AAI), Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL), and various district departments were present.

"The state government is fully committed to making commercial flight operations from Bokaro a reality at the earliest," said Jha during the inspection. "All departments must work in close coordination to ensure that no bottleneck remains beyond Kartik Purnima. This is a clear deadline, and delay will not be accepted."
