Ten killed across state as rains lash six distts in Raj

At least 10 people have been killed across Rajasthan in the last 24 hours while schools were also shut in six districts on Saturday as a heavy rainfall continued to batter the state, said officials.

Of the ten deceased, three each died in Ajmer's Kishangarh and Pali districts on Saturday, twoin Bikaner, and another one in Balotra on Friday night, while a four-year-old boy drowned ina drain on Saturday when he turned out of the house while playing roadside in Sawai Madhopur.

Three girls, all of whom were 18-year-old, died in Kishangarh on Saturday morning after they drowned in a local canal that overflow due to heavy rainfall. The three and another girl went to bathe their cattle. Two of them suddenly slipped and were swept away when the other two went to save them. The locals rescued the four but three of them died on the spot and the another girl is undergoing treat-mentina local hospital,” said an official from the Ajmer district administration.
