Not planning to cancel '21 SI exam: Govt to HC

The government on Tuesday informed the Rajasthan high court that the state is not considering to cancel the 2021 Sub Inspector recruitment examination, of which question papers were leaked by a slew of candidates and two former Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) members.
JAIPUR:
Following the government's decision, the single-bench court presided over by justice Sameer Jain scheduled July 7 as the final date of hearing for the case when the petitioners will quote its response and the court will sentence its verdict.
The additional advocate general of the Rajasthan government, Rajendra Prasad, told the court: "The cabinet sub-committee which was formed to take a decision on the cancellation of the SI-2021 exam had sent its report to the home department and the chief minister's office. The CM had approved the report in which the committee stated that the cancelling this exam is not under their consideration at this moment."
On October 1, the government formed a five-member cabinet sub-committee led by the parliamentary affairs minister Jogaram Patel to take a decision on the cancellation of this exam. The committee was earlier given four deadlines by the high court since February to take a decision on the matter but failed.

The deferred FCRA bill calls for a quiet burial
It'sa paradox — to put it mildly — that justas the Bharatiya Janata Party was doing its best to reach out to Christian voters in Kerala, its government in Delhi tried to pass the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill.
