Drone, projectile debris found

Hours before India and Pakistan agreed to an immediate ceasefire on Saturday, Rajasthan's border districts were placed on high alert with fragments and debris of unidentified projectiles recovered by the locals in Balotra, Jaisalmer, Barmer and Phalodi districts amid the neighboring country's blatant drone attacks against civilians across several locations, officials aware of the matter said.
JAISALMER/BARMER/JODHPUR/BIKANER:
However, with the announcement of the ceasefire, the situation is limping back to normalcy in the border areas of the state, they added.
High red alerts were issued in Barmer and Jaisalmer, triggering market shutdowns, stay-at-home orders, and blackout advisories, officials said.
Earlier in the day, security concerns were heightened in Jodhpur's Phalodi town after suspected missile debris was found in Ugras and Dandu villages. All markets remained closed, and residents were urged to stay indoors as a precautionary measure. The alert was lifted after 3 pm, when the threat was deemed to be over, they added.
In Barmer, at 10:19 am, district collector Tina Dabi issued a high red alert, ordering all residents to return home, close markets, and cease all movement.
Earlier, at 5 am, a red alert was issued following drone attacks from across the Pakistani border, which were successfully intercepted by Indian defense forces. A 12-hour blackout had been in effect since Friday evening, with sirens sounding again at 5:30 am, keeping security agencies on high alert until 7:09 am. Throughout the night, police enforced curfew-like conditions as residents complied with the norms, staying indoors and turning off all lights, including those powered by inverters.
