JAIPUR:

According to the data, the boys' enrollment rate was dropped by 13.1% at the primary level (Class I to V) in the last two years while the girls' declined by 11.4%. The corresponding figures were 7.8% for boys and 5.7% for girls at the upper primary level (Class VI to VIII) in the same period.

"The age-wise classification of the data also showed that the enrollment for the children at 6 to 14 years old dipped by 9.2% from 2022 to 2024 and 2.5% dip for the ones at 15 to 16 years of age in the government schools," it stated.

In its latest 2024 report released on Tuesday, the ASER surveyed across 988 villages and 39,625 children across the 33 districts in Rajasthan.
