Bihar IMA asks docs to keep away from firms of quacks

PATNA: The Bihar unit of Indian Medical Association (IMA) has appealed to its members and practising doctors to not associate with establishments of quacks, while distancing itself from issuing a statement on the killing of the director of a private hospital in Patna on Saturday afternoon, saying the victim who was shot dead inside her chamber, was a quack.

"We request our doctors to not associate with establishments of quacks. If they continue to do, the IMA will not espouse their concern if any untoward incident happens with them," said former IMA national president Dr Sahajanand Prasad Singh, also the patron-in-chief of IMA-Bihar.
