The Congress MP from Bihar's Kishanganj, Dr Mohammad Jawed, has given a call to Muslims to attend a public meeting to protest the (Controversial) Waqf Act in Kishanganj on April 20 ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Bihar.
KISHANGANJ: The Congress MP from Bihar's Kishanganj, Dr Mohammad Jawed, has given a call to Muslims to attend a public meeting to protest the (Controversial) Waqf Act in Kishanganj on April 20 ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Bihar. The MP claimed that all the constituents of grand alliance (GA) in Bihar were united over the issue.
Attacking the Union government, the MP termed the Act 'divisive' and 'draconian' and declared the Act a beautiful specimen of misuse of 'majority'. "The Act aims to grab the property of the minority (Muslims) which is used for welfare of the poor and helpless Muslims," he alleged.
