PAK WAS TAKEN OFF THE FATF GREY LIST IN 2022, GIVING IT A CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH ON TERROR FINANCING AND BOOSTING ITS REPUTATION AMONG LENDERS

- Reuters

NEW DELHI: India will push the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), a global financial crime watchdog, to add Pakistan back to its "grey list", and oppose upcoming World Bank funding to Islamabad, news agency Reuters quoted a top government official as saying on Friday.

India announced a slew of measures as retribution for Pakistan-backed terrorist attacks in India - the latest of which killed 26 people, including 25 tourists, in the Kashmir valley last month - including keeping the Indus Water Treaty in abeyance.

The person aware of the matter said India would not miss any opportunity "in opposing Pakistan and the next one is funding by World Bank, and we will raise our protest there too."
