Rupani's body identified, state funeral today

The body of former Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani, who was on board Air India flight 171 which crashed in Ahmedabad, has been identified through DNA matching, officials said on Sunday, adding that his last rites will be conducted with state honours on Monday.
AHMEDABAD:
"Former Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani lost his life during the Air India flight crash in Ahmedabad on June 12. Today, at around 11.10am, his DNA has been matched," Gujarat home minister Harsh Sanghavi told reporters. So far, 86 victims have been identified using DNA matching, he later said on X.
