Delhi CM, edu min meet parents to get feedback on new education bill

Chief minister Rekha Gupta and education minister Ashish Sood met hundreds of parents at the Delhi secretariat on Saturday to get their feedback on the government's new bill to rein in arbitrary fee hikes in private schools.
NEW DELHI:
The Delhi School Education (Transparency in Fixation and Regulation of Fees) Bill, 2025, a legislation introduced by the BJP-led government on April 29, will apply to all 1,677 private schools in the city and mandates transparent processes for fee fixation, including mandatory participation from parents and school managements.
