AAP's daily announcements a sign of nervousness: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of abandoning its anti-corruption ideology and making desperate election promises out of "nervousness," as he addressed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) booth-level workers in Delhi on Wednesday.
NEW DELHI:
Modi repeatedly referred to the AAP as "AAP-da", or disaster, urging workers to expose the party's alleged failures by highlighting Delhi's broken infrastructure and poor governance by posting pictures on social media.
In response, the AAP hit back and said that the BJP has been misleading people with false promises for years.
Speaking during the BJP's "Mera Booth Sabse Majboot" programme, Modi said the AAP leadership is plagued by fear of defeat and is making new announcements out of desperation. "They are making new announcements daily because they sense the tide turning against them. People have seen through their nervousness and their lies," he said. Modi mocked the AAP's slogan "phir aaenge" (we will return), saying the public responds with "phir khaenge" (they will loot again).
