The ambitious Nagpur-Goa Shaktipeeth Expressway, a project that the Mahayuti government had placed on hold before the assembly elections due to intense farmer protests, is back on the government's agenda.
MUMBAI:
The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC), tasked with building the project, has now applied for environmental clearance. A significant change in the project is the potential exclusion of Kolhapur district, with a proposed realignment from Sangli to Konkan to connect Goa.
