Prof Taj Mohammad, 62, who is set to retire on June 30, has been busy searching for his personal, educational and professional documents for the last few weeks, after losing track of many papers with the passage of time. He is among several teachers across UP, struggling to upload the information on the Samarth portal, as per a government order.

A GO in October last year mandates submission of documents by faculty members at government and aided colleges for the Career Advancement Scheme (CAS). But a letter issued in January 2025 made it mandatory for all faculty members to upload their documents on the portal.
