Govt Schools to Host Summer Camps for Holistic Learning

The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education department has decided to organise summer camps in government upper primary and composite schools, in line with private schools, to promote holistic development, as outlined in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

According to a circular issued by director general of school education, Kanchan Verma, the camps will be held from May 21 to June 15 for students of Classes 6 to 8 in council upper primary and composite schools.

"Duration of the summer camp per day will be maximum three hours (7:30 am to 10:30 am). The duration of the camp can be determined in view of local needs and circumstances," she said.
