Expo displays ceramic artworks made using Japanese style

Around 50 artworks of 20 artists from across the country and one from Sri Lanka are on display at a two-day art exhibition ‘Mrinmaya’ that got underway at Kala Srot art gallery here on Friday.
LUCKNOW:
These art pieces are ceramic sculptures made using Japanese Glaze Raku firing style during a 10-day workshop organised in the gallery.
The exhibition was inaugurated by dean, faculty of architecture and planning, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) Vandana Sehgal. It will remain open from 11 am-8 pm on Saturday.
Glaze Raku firing is an ancient art of Japan in which the glazed ceramics from the kiln are taken out while they are still glowing red hot.
