Ajay Santosh Parvatha Reddy and Vidhi Angelina won the boys and girls titles, respectively, of the UP State Under 15 Open Chess Championship here on Thursday.
LUCKNOW: Reddy managed 6.5 out of all possible seven points to win the title, whereas Angelina won on tie-break after being locked with Aishani Pathak with five points each.
In the seventh and final round, top seed Reddy of Gautam Buddh Nagar drew with Vidit Sethi of Ghaziabad. Maz Iqbal of Varanasi, Vidit Sethi and Shreyash Raj of Saharanpur all tied with 5.5-5.5 points, but finished second, third, and fourth respectively due to tie-break score.
