India's Gems, Jewellery Exports Fall 23% in Feb on Weak Demand

India's gems and jewellery exports declined by 23.49% in February at $2,422.9 million (₹21,085.030 crore) compared to the same month of last year following a continued dip in demand in the US and China, the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) said on Wednesday.
MUMBAI:
The overall exports of gems and jewellery stood at $3,166.66 million (₹26,268.6 crore) in the corresponding period of 2024, GJEPC data stated.
Gems and jewellery exports from April 2024 till February 2025, showed a dip of 13.43% at $25,732.72 million (₹2,17,148.26 crores) compared to $29,724.13 million (₹2,46,105.96 crores) for the same period previous year.
