Tahir Hussain gets parole to file his nomination papers

The Delhi high court on Tuesday granted custody parole to former councillor Tahir Hussain in a 2020 murder case connected to the northeast Delhi riots, to file nominations for the upcoming Delhi assembly elections.
NEW DELHI:
However, the court refused Hussain's plea for interim bail on the grounds that the gravity of allegations disentitled him to be released on bail.
Hussain is seeking to contest the elections on an All India Majlis-e Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) ticket from the Mustafabad constituency in northeast Delhi.
