Priest Held for UP Journalist's Murder Over Video of 'Abuse'

The Uttar Pradesh police has arrested a priest and two of his accomplices for conspiring the murder of a journalist in Sitapur district of the state in March after the deceased purportedly gathered evidence of the 32-year-old priest sexually abusing a minor boy, officials said on Thursday.
LUCKNOW:
The arrests came 33 days after Sitapur-based Hindi journalist Raghvendra Bajpai, 36, was shot dead on March 8. The two bike-borne shooters, who were hired by the priest Vikash Rathore alias Vikas Mishra, remain absconding, officials said.
Sitapur SP Chakresh Mishra said that three teams were formed to investigate the case, which questioned more than 100 suspects and scanned around 250 CCTV camera feeds, leading to the arrests.
